“Heritage in Bloom” is a portrait series that celebrates the strength, grace, and identity of women across cultures. Beginning with those from the five regions of Saudi Arabia. Inspired by her encounters as a flight attendant, Katalina transforms memories of fabrics, architecture, and faces into contemporary oil portraits that bridge tradition and modernity.

Each painting blossoms from cultural motifs; the rhythmic patterns of Sadu, the colorful geometry of Al Qatt Al Asiri, the carved Najdi doors, the ornate Al Roshan windows of the Hijaz, and the rich textures of Al Ahsa embroidery. Together, they tell stories of heritage passed through generations, reimagined through a modern lens of empathy and connection.
