Katalina is a Filipina painter whose journey spans cultures, memories, and human stories. Having traveled to over a hundred countries, she paints from recollection and encounters. Transforming faces, patterns, and moments into portraits that explore belonging and identity.

Her artistic path began with curiosity and rediscovery. During the pandemic, she created Brincos, handcrafted earrings inspired by places and people she missed. Her crafts were featured by Cosmopolitan and Preview Philippines, before she turned her creative pursuit toward painting, where she found her true medium.

Drawn to portraiture to remember the people she connected with, she began weaving motifs and patterns into their backgrounds. Her inspiration, much like her technique, comes from real people and their cultural roots.

She was recognized as an International Artist Award 2025 recipient by the Arts to Hearts Project, with works exhibited in Jeddah, Paris, and London. Mentorships under Vlad Yashin in Paris and Arthur Grain further refined her visual language blending heritage and emotion into contemporary portraiture.

Through her art, Katalina reveals heritage as a living voice and affirms women as carriers of cultural memory. Her works are not mere decorations but testimonies reminding us that stories often overlooked hold the power to connect, preserve grace, and speak across cultures.
